16th Meeting of the AEWA Technical Committee

The 16th Meeting of the AEWA Technical Committee (TC16) was originally scheduled to take place at the end of January 2021 in the town of Mikulov at the invitation of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic.

At the end of November, the UNEP/AEWA Secretariat consulted with the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic about the current situation with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite some positive developments, it has been agreed that holding an in-person meeting in the Czech Republic in January 2021 cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, TC16 will be held in a virtual format.

The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic remains open to hosting a future meeting of the AEWA Technical Committee.

The dates of TC16 remain 25-29 January 2021.
