Norway to Host 9th Meeting of the AEWA Standing Committee

Bonn, 18 January 2013 - The 9th Meeting of the AEWA Standing Committee (StC9) will take place in Trondheim, Norway from 18-20 September 2013 and will be hosted by the Norwegian Environment Agency.

The Standing Committee is the AEWA body that provides policy and administrative guidance between regular meetings of the Meeting of the Parties. In particular, it makes recommendations for consideration at the next session of the Meeting of the Parties; oversees on behalf of the Parties, the development and execution of the Secretariat’s budget, as well as, the implementation of policy by the Secretariat and conduct of the Secretariat’s programmes.
