Bonn, 20 December 2016 - The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is currently recruiting an Associate Programme Management Officer at P2-level to join the Secretariat’s Science, Implementation and Compliance Unit.

Main tasks will include facilitating the operations of the European Goose Management Platform and its decision-making body, the AEWA European Goose Management International Working Group as well as promoting other initiatives related to the sustainable use of migratory waterbirds.

The AEWA European Goose Management Platform was established by the pertinent Range States in Paris in May 2016 with the goal to ensure the long-term favourable conservation status of all goose species and their populations under its remit. The AEWA European Goose Management International Working Group was convened by the UNEP/AEWA Secretariat in June 2016 and serves as the main coordinating and decision-making body of the AEWA European Goose Management Platform.
