2026/002: Hosting the 10th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP10) to AEWA (Scheduled for 2028)

Through Resolution 9.10 on Date, Venue and Funding of the 10^th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP10) to AEWA, adopted at MOP9 on 14 November 2025, the Meeting of the Parties strongly invited interested Parties to communicate to the Secretariat within six months (i.e. 13 May 2026) their interest in hosting the 10^th Session of the Meeting of the Parties and decided to convene it in 2028.

The Meeting of the Parties is the principal decision-making body of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA), with ordinary sessions taking place at intervals of not more than three years. Previous sessions of the MOP were held in Hungary, South Africa, France, Madagascar, Senegal and Germany.
