2025/016: Received Proposals to MOP9 for Amendments to the Agreement

In accordance with Article X of the Agreement, the Secretariat is hereby transmitting to the Contracting Parties all proposals to the 9th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP9) for amendments to the Agreement received by the deadline of 13 June 2025 (150 days prior to the opening of MOP9).

The only Contracting Party that formally submitted proposals for amendments is the United Kingdom. These proposed amendments originate from the work of the AEWA Technical Committee over the past triennium following the evidence gathered as part of the 9th edition of the AEWA Conservation Status Report (CSR) and they concern Annexes 2 and 3 of the Agreement, including Table 1.

MOP9 has been scheduled to take place on 11-14 November 2025 in Bonn, Germany. The Contracting Parties are invited to consider submitting to the Secretariat any comments on the proposed amendments by 12 September 2025 (60 days prior to the opening of MOP9).

Any comments on the proposed amendments received by the deadline will be posted by the Secretariat on the MOP9 webpage after the 60-day deadline has passed.
