2017/001: New Party to the Agreement - Accession of Botswana

The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) is pleased to inform you that the Republic of Botswana will become a Contracting Party to AEWA as of 1 November 2017.

The accession brings the total number of Parties to 77.

The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is delighted to welcome Botswana to AEWA and to the CMS Family.  The Secretariat looks forward to working closely with the Government and other stakeholders in implementing the Agreement in this country.
