Bonn, 31 March 2015 – Wetlands International has just announced the publication of a report entitled ‘Towards sustainable management of huntable migratory waterbirds in Europe’ produced by the Waterbird Harvest Specialist Group.

This report presents the case for adopting the principles of adaptive harvest management framework for waterbird populations in the EU, and even at the flyway scale. The information requirements for such a plan are explored in detail, supported by a number of case studies.
