This short film highlights the importance
of wetlands for people and their role as diverse ecosystems,
providing a wealth of natural resources, such as food, timber
and medicines. The film also shows the important role wetlands
play in storing huge amounts of carbon dioxide and how they
help to purify water for more than 3 billion people.
The video was first screened at the Ramsar
COP10 in Changwon, Korea in November 2008 and was produced
by Green.tv with generous financial support from the Korean
