Les partenaires de la Journée mondiale des oiseaux migrateurs (JMOM) sont heureux d'annoncer que le thème de la campagne 2025 sera consacré à la création de villes et de communautés accueillantes pour les oiseaux. La campagne de l’année prochaine mettra en évidence la nécessité d’une coexistence saine entre les humains et les oiseaux. Il mettra l’accent sur la création et l’adaptation d’environnements qui soutiennent les populations d’oiseaux migrateurs danstoutes les collectivités, des terres agricoles rurales aux banlieues tentaculaires et aux villes animées. Il y a des mesures que tout le monde peut prendre pour protéger nos espaces partagés avec la faune.

The 9th annual meeting of the European Goose Management International Working Group (EGM IWG9) successfully concluded in Tromsø, Norway on Thursday, 20 June 2024. Hosted by the Norwegian Environment Agency and chaired by Prof. Petter Kjellander from Sweden, the event brought together national government representatives, experts and key stakeholders.

The 19th Meeting of the AEWA Technical Committee (TC19) was successfully held as a virtual event on 12 – 14 March 2024. The three-day meeting brought together a total of 62 participants from across Africa and Eurasia, including regional representatives, experts from a wide spectrum of fields as well as 16 Party Observers and several key implementing partner organizations of the Agreement. 

The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Bruno Pereira Leles as the new Coordinator of the European Goose Management Platform (EGMP). As EGMP Coordinator, Bruno will be responsible for supporting the structured decision-making process and coordination mechanism among the EGMP stakeholders aiming to implement sustainable use and management strategies for goose populations in Europe.
