Latest BirdLife International Africa E-Bulletin showcases World Migratory Bird Day 2011 Events in Africa

Bonn, 6 September 2011 - The latest BirdLife International Africa Partnership Secretariat’s e-bulletin published on 1 September 2011, is packed with World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) 2011 event highlights from Africa.

The bulletin shows how World Migratory Bird Day 2011 was celebrated by the BirdLife Africa Partnership and its partners in Burundi, Cameroon, Egypt, Gambia, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Mauritania and Rwanda. The activities varied from bird watching excursions, round table discussions, special awareness raising activities for students, school children and the general public as well as radio and television interviews and other activities to mark the day.
