Bonn, 8 May 2017 - A new Arabic version of the Agreement text and its annexes as amended by the 6th Session of the Meeting of the Parties in November 2015 was kindly provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in its capacity as Depositary of the Agreement. The translation was cleared by the AEWA Arabic-speaking Contracting Parties and finally approved by the AEWA Standing Committee in April 2017, as mandated by Resolution 6.2.

This version replaces the former original one, deposited with the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in accordance with Article XVII, Par. 1 of AEWA. The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is confident that the new translation will facilitate the implementation of AEWA by Parties at the national level as well as promote the accession of non-Party Range States.
