Bonn, 14 December 2017 - The Secretariat is pleased to inform you that arrangements are well underway for organizing the 7^th Session of the Meeting of the Parties, and meetings of the Technical and Standing Committees.

14^th Meeting of the AEWA Technical Committee

The AEWA Technical Committee will be meeting for the 14^th time from 10 to 13 April 2018 (please note the change in dates, i.e. not 27-30 March, as previously indicated) at the UN Campus in Bonn, Germany. A dedicated page has been established on the AEWA website and documents and other information will be posted there as soon as they become available.

13^th Meeting of the AEWA Standing Committee

The Standing Committee will also meet next year - probably in the first half of July.  Parties will be notified as soon as the precise dates and venue of the 13^th meeting are confirmed and a dedicated page will be set up on the AEWA website.

7^th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to AEWA

The 7^th Session of the Meeting of the Parties to AEWA (MOP7) will be held on 4-8 December 2018.  The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat is grateful to the Government of South Africa for hosting the meeting; the precise location has yet to be decided. A dedicated MOP7 page will be established on the AEWA website in due course.

The UNEP/AEWA Secretariat would like to make a strong plea to all AEWA Parties and Partners to consider providing financial support towards the costs of participation of delegates from developing countries or countries with economies in transition as well as other costs that need to be covered by the Secretariat and for which a regular budget is not available. If you wish to contribute or to obtain concrete information on funding needs please contact the Secretariat at aewa.secretariat@unep-aewa.org
