As you experience every year, the weather changes with the seasons.

At some places in the world, it gets very cold in the winter and warm in the summer, whereas in others it rains a lot during a certain period and the rest of the time it is dry.

Most of us live in the same place the whole year – we do not have any alternative.

However many birds do! They can leave if they want to and fly to places where they are happier. While we are complaining about the weather, they travel thousands of kilometres, sometimes even across continents.

These birds are called migratory birds. Sometimes you can see them in the sky on their travels and hear their calls.
