Latest “Migratory Birds for People” Newsletter Features World Migratory Bird Day 2014

Bonn, 20 August 2014 - A new edition of the “Migratory Birds for People” (MBP) Newsletter has recently been published by Wetland Link International. The Newsletter gives updates on meetings, project development and news from partners. The August edition also features an article on this year’s World Migratory Bird Day and how it was celebrated at various MBP visitor centres, for example at the nature centre Naturum Getterön, Sweden, from which photos can be found below.

The "Migratory Birds for People" programme is a partnership of around 20 wetland visitor centres spread across Europe and West Africa, forming a network that follows the flight path of many migratory wetland bird species. These centres are working together to share best practice and develop new approaches to delivering wetland messages to their visitors.
