The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) would like to draw attention to a Notification (SCBD/MCO/AF/NP/CR/85966) issued by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD) on enhancing synergies among the biodiversity-related Conventions. The Notification is enclosed herewith.

Following the AEWA Resolution 6.15 and the CBD COP12 Decision XII/6, AEWAParties are invited to provide views and comments on the consultation draft as soon as possible and no later than 30 September 2016. The consultation draft is available at the following URL: https://www.cbd.int/cop13/review. Please note that the CMS Secretariat has circulated a similar notification on the same issue.

The final document will be made available for consideration by the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CBD to be held from 4 to 17 December 2016 in Cancun, Mexico.
