The Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (UNEP/AEWA) would like to inform you that the Standing Committee has launched the development process of the Strategic Plan for 2019-2027 and a Strategic Plan Working Group has been recently convened by the Secretariat.

The meeting of the Working Group will take place on 28-30 June 2016 and in preparation for this event preliminary consultations will be undertaken with the Working Group members, which involves representatives of the Contracting Parties, the Technical Committee and partner organizations.

In order to have as broad an input as possible from the outset of the process, these consultations will be extended to all Contracting Parties. Therefore, all National Administrative, Technical and CEPA Focal Points are invited to share their perspectives. If you are interested in contributing, you will be interviewed for about 30 minutes on the telephone and the questions will be provided to you in advance.
