WOW Demonstration Projects
Below is a map showing the
location of the eleven demonstration sites of the Wings
Over Wetlands (WOW) -African-Eurasian Flyways Project.
Each demonstration project is managed by a local executing
agency in each country (usually a national NGO) and has
its own targeted conservation focus ranging from wetland
restoration, management planning, ecotourism to environmental
education.
While the main project focus
lies on these carefully selected sites, the WOW project
covers the entire African-Eurasian region as it is defined
in the AEWA Agreement text (depicted in the map shown below).
