The launch of the African Initiative in 2009 was enabled due to a generous contribution from the Government of France. Nevertheless it is estimated that an additional 1,000,000 euros will be required to implement the activities planned. The success of the implementation of the African Initiative relies not only on the collaboration of the Range States involved, but also on the support from other governments and partners in the form of voluntary contributions. Your contribution towards boosting the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats in Africa can make a significant difference!
